Publisher review:formchecker.js will warn users if they leave a page after they've made changes to any existing form on the page. This script will warn users if they leave a page after they've made changes in (one of) the form(s) and give them the opportunity not to leave (so they can save the data). Very handy for web-applications!
Anyone that has ever developed a web-application will probably have been confronted with the frustrations of it's users, that if they leave the page without saving the data they have entered, it all will be lost.
This script will end those frustrations!! When included in any page (with the -tag) you can activate it once the page is loaded (with the onLoad event) to store the current 'states' of all the forms in the webpage.
Then, when the user tries to leave the page, it will perform another check and if it appears the state of the form(s) have been altered (the user has changed some data), it will alert the user of this and give the possibility to cancel leaving the page.
It also provides a function with which you can submit any form without triggering this alert. And it also provides a possibility to exclude certain elements from the check (so they can be changed without triggering the warning).
formchecker.js is a JavaScript script for Form Processors scripts design by Excudo.net.
It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris.
